Introduction

WordCamp Europe 2013 will be Europe’s largest WordCamp to date, even rivaling WordCamp San Francisco for attendance. We are seeking sponsors to help make this the largest WordCamp globally in 2013.

WordPress is a free and open source blogging tool and a content management system (CMS). WordPress is used by over 16.7% of Alexa Internet’s “top 1 million” websites and as of August 2011 manages 22% of all new websites. WordPress is currently the most popular content management system system in use on the Internet.

WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. They are the official conferences relating to WordPress as each is also approved by WordCamp Central.

WordCamps are non-profit events, with any surplus being fed back into the WordPress Foundation, the charity holding all WordPress trademarks.

Program

WordCamps are attended by people ranging from blogging newbies to professional WordPress developers and consultants, and usually combine scheduled programming with unconference sessions and other activities.
